We have a vacancy for a Musical Director from August 2024.  Closing date 15 March 2023.  

Inverurie Orchestra is a community orchestra (registered charity number SC051922), based in Inverurie, comprising amateur and some semi-professional players from Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen city. Membership of the orchestra is circa 48 players. The orchestra, founded in 2007, performs 2-3 concerts a year in and around Inverurie. The Musical Director will be responsible for the programming, prepara?on and performance of the orchestra’s concerts in conjunction with the orchestra’s committee. In collaboration with the leader, they will also oversee musical and technical development. It is expected that applicants will have experience in conducting and working with amateur musicians and will be sympathetic to the aims of community music-making, most notably creating a safe and enjoyable space for members to develop their skills.
