Inverurie Orchestra was formed in the summer of 2007 after a public meeting was held to judge the response to such a venture.
The first rehearsal was held on 30th August 2007 with conductor Paul Tierney, who was our conductor until the end of 2019. Founder members Ian Clark, Janette Barclay and Gillian Sorrie are still key members of the orchestra.

The orchestra now has over 40 regular members and is looking to recruit new players, especially for the string and brass sections.
